The Selene 42 is a comfortable ocean trawler yacht which is also perfect for inland seas. She has amazing headroom in the engine room and an efficient cruiser stern. With a length overall of 45 feet, she is the biggest and roomiest 42 foot yacht in the world.
Designed with the cruising family in mind, this coastal cruiser provides all the same quality and safety of her larger siblings. The Selene 42 comes equipped with a John Deere 180 HP diesel engine, bow thruster, anchor windlass, full galley, island master berth, separate shower, full guest stateroom with head, and much more.
The hull incorporates a cruiser stern, deep keel, and large rudder. The cruiser stern adds to the water line giving better speed and efficiency. The deep keel creates stability and tracking and the larger rudder gives perfect control, especially at low speeds. The cruiser stern also adds greater storage to the inside of the lazarette, which houses the steering quadrant, and battery banks for the vessel.
One of the most brilliant design elements of the Selene 42 is the engine room. After passing through a full sized door located on the starboard side of the owners shower stall, you walk into the engine room where you can stand up and service the engine. The headroom is smartly gained from the space underneath the raised settee in the saloon. This is the most spacious engine room in any yacht of this size range
This vessel is build for a cruising family and has a very livable interior. The salon and the galley are very spacious for a yacht of this length. The galley even includes a full size refrigerator. The settee can seat more guests because of our famous hide-a-leaf table. Aft is the master stateroom, which has a walk around queen on center as well as a full head and stand up shower stall. Forward is a V-berth with an en-suite bathroom.
Outside the Selene 42 deck plan is set up to safely get around. The walk around decks and cockpit are large and the design of the fore deck allows for anchors to be safely deployed and retrieved.
